Paredão Curral Viewpoint
The Seawall Belvedere is situated in the parish of Curral das Freiras, specifically in Assembled Seawall recently subject to an intensive project of reforestation area. This play area is divided into two viewpoints, offering visitors stunning panoramic views over the municipality of Funchal and the emblematic village of Curral das Freiras.
Pico do Arieiro Viewpoint
The Pico do Arieiro belvedere, situated 1818 meters above sea level, gives us a fantastic view of the central massif of Madeira. Pico do Arieiro viewpoint is located on the third highest peak on the island of Madeira, with 1818 meters of altitude. From this viewpoint we have a great panoramic view of the central massif of Madeira. Here we start one of the most spectacular walking routes towards the highest point of the archipelago, the Red Peak, with 1,862 meters.
You will feel you are on the Top of the World seeing mountains and valleys flowing down to the Sea and also the wonderful Fauna and Flora of Madeira giving you the pleasure of Nature.
Ponta do Garajau
Christ King of Garajau tip, or Christ the King of the Madeira, is the name by which is known the monument to the Sacred Heart of Jesus erected in Ponta do Garajau, Madeira. Religious monument to Christ the King, consisting of a statue with open arms facing the ocean, was financed and built by counsel Aires Ornelas, son of the last scion of Canico. The statue was executed by French sculptor Georges Serraz (1883-1964) and was inaugurated on 30 October 1927, the same date it was opened to traffic the road linking Cancela to Monument. It is possible to discern from the viewpoint of Garajau Ponta sea, the right side of the bay of Funchal and the left Oliveira tip and Canico baixo. From there you can also close to see ships sailing towards the port of Funchal.
